Traverse of the Punta Nera 3683m
Wonderful itinerary at the foot of the Monte Grivola. It requires stable snow and a good knowledge of high mountain terrain. Through a sharp canal leading to the Colle della Nera (3492m), from where you easily reach the Punta Nera (3683m). Descent along the Trajo Glacier (crevasses) until the neck at the foot of the Grivoletta, and from here to the Vallone del Trajo to Epinel (1450m, hamlet of Cogne). One of longest descents in the Aosta Valley (2200m).
